The cornerstone of the Chorus ...  moreAs a nationally recognized choral organization offering musical training and performance to a diverse group of choristers, the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus has provided an artistic and cultural resource in Tucson for 75 years. The cornerstone of the Chorus is traditional boychoir music including sacred and secular pieces spanning the Middle Ages to the present. The Chorus incorporates songs and ballads of the American Southwest and other repertoire into its program in a unique way. Costumed as cowboys the boys sing the songs of the saddle and showcase their trick rodeo roping. The Chorus also performs contemporary music including Broadway show tunes, international songs, holiday music and modern favorites. Additionally, the Chorus represents the Tucson community as a world renowned choral organization. It has toured throughout the U.S. and many countries around the world. Wir essen und leben wohl (χορικό) Η καντάτα Christ lag in Todesbanden (Ο Χριστός κείται με τα δεσμά του θανάτου) είναι μια από τις πρώτες καντάτες του συνθέτη. Το λιμπρέτο της είναι ένας ύμνος του Λούθηρου. Κάθε ένα από τα επτά μέρη της καντάτας είναι και ένας στίχος του ύμνου, με τη μορφή variation. Ο Bach γράφει συμμετρικά: χορωδιακό – ντουέτο – σόλο – χορωδιακό – σόλο – ντουέτο – χορωδιακό. Στο κέντρο (4ος στίχος) είναι η μάχη ανάμεσα στη ζωή και στον θάνατο. Η πρεμιέρα της έγινε το 1707 στο Arnstadt. Η παρούσα είναι η δεύτερη, μεταγενέστερη μορφή της καντάτας, όπως εκτελέστηκε το 1724 στη Λει...    less

In exitu Israel de Aegypto, domus Iacob de populo barbaro. When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people: Facta est Iudaea sanctificatio eius, Israel potestas eius. Judea made his sanctuary, Israel his dominion. Mare vidit et fugit, Iordanis conversus est retrorsum. The sea saw and fled: Jordan was turned back.  

Jaz pa pojdem na Gorenjsko (I am going to Gorenjska) is a variation of folk song from Gorenjska region. Record was made in Kranj, Octet Festival, in February 2013.
