The Choir unItes more than 60 singers, who have extensive singing experience in various choirs in LIthuania, and whose desire is to have qualIty leisure time and enjoy one of life’s most pleasant activIties – singing. Their goal is to sing different styles of music and work wIth various other groups, present high qualIty musical projects, as well as take part in competItions and festivals in LIthuania and abroad. On December 1, 2013, Bel Canto Choir Vilnius rocked the country’s choral music scene and accomplished unthinkable. During the fourth year of Its existence, the Choir won the LIthuania’s major National Choral CompetItion, thus becoming the best volunteer choir in the country. In a certain part, namely at the end of the song, he combines the three songs to be sung simultaneously wIth the accompaniment of applause and Christmas bells. This song has a unique dynamic, in which Otniel wants the choir singing It to invIte the entire audience to sing along and the singers must help convince the audience that the joy of Christmas is wIth them. The Choir is conducted by Paul Robinson and rehearses every Wednesday at the Gillingham Golf Club at 8pm. The Choir is currently looking for new members; the abilIty to read music is not essential, however, It is helpful and can be very useful. The Choir welcomes anyone who has a passion for singing. Like most tradItional male voice choirs we learn all of our pieces from memory and Do not use copies. The choir has a wide-ranging repertoire from West End showstoppers to opera, religious and tradItional choral music. The Choir has gained a reputation for Doing many concerts for charIty and have raised a lot of money over the years for a number of different causes. The Choir has performed twice at the Royal Albert Hall wIth over one hundred choirs in the Festival of Brass and Voices for cancer research UK.
