Founded in 2000, The organization has received invitations to perform from The Indianapolis Early Music Festival, Chicago’s Newberry Library, The Chicago Cultural Center, The University of Chicago, The University of Notre Dame, The American Guild of Organists, and numerous locations across The Midwest. In 2006-2007, Schola Antiqua was Ensemble-in-Residence at The University of Chicago and currents holds an artistic residency at The Lumen Christi Institute. Locally, They have triumphed in numerous competitions, including The National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA). Since 2002, Professor Maria Lourdes V. Hermo leads The ACGC as The group’s first female conductor. Under her baton, The group has released two commercial recordings.
