The unique sonority of a female group of singers, usually a capella, has been widely explored throughout the history of MUSIC by many composers from all times, both male and female. Examples of such MUSIC can be found from the Middle Ages up to contemporary MUSIC; however it is not until Romanticism that works are composed specifically for female choirs. Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining MUSIC, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the MUSIC closer to the people and to present the MUSIC on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and Katerini. The Victoria Consort is a Belfast based chamber choir established in 2011, comprised of some of the finest young singers from across Northern Ireland. The choir performs a wide range of choral MUSIC to a HIGH standard in concerts across the country.
