Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. the Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive.

Although the song is the unofficial anthem of Dublin and generally regarded as Irish, it was, in fact, written by a Scotsman. This outdoor performance was the culmination of a six-week project which creates a choir from scratch for one night only. Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gathers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. there are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear. We rehearsed for most of the Day in ...  moreOn 24th November 2012 we brought together 98 singers and four choral directors for our most ambitious project to date: a choral workshop on Thomas Tallis' monumental 40-part motet, 'Spem in Alium', composed in 1570. We rehearsed for most of the Day in two-choir sections, with our four choral directors, Scott Inglis-Kidger, Sarah Tenant-Flowers, Riccardo Bonci and Jonny Davies. After lunch we began to put the sections together. South Salem took FIRST Place at Oregon's State Competition. This was their second song of four. This whole competition took Place at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. the South Salem Saxons also took first at their Districts festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon.
