We have performed at several festivals and international events (Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria). How I wrote the composition Hope to process a miscarriage, or how I wrote I Will Lift My Eyes at a time when multiple family members, both young and old, were being diagnosed with cancer. No matter life’s challenges, music has always been an outlet for me to cope and heal. It has helped me to persevere and fight through some of life's most difficult moments, ultimately making me a stronger person. The world can be a challenging place, but each of us are warriors—armed with the gift to sing, and filled with the fire, passion, drive, and grit to conquer anything.  less

Ira Spaulding, born in New York, studied with Robert Simpson at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey (Bachelor of Music) and also holds a Master of Music in Voice and Choral Conducting from Eastern Kentucky University. He gave numerous recitals in America as well as having taught voice, conducting, vocal pedagogy and literature at several Colleges and conducted various vocal ensembles (community oratorio choirs, church choirs, boys choirs and a jazz vocal ensemble). He currently serves on the faculty at City College of New York where he teaches voice, conducting and leads vocal ensembles and choirs.  less
