The Choir performs concerts each semester and also sings at Remembrance Day ceremonies, convocation ceremonies, and other events on campus and in the community. We are a volunteer, non-auditioned group open to all, but Choir members are expected to regularly attend rehearsals and the semester retreat, and to practice their parts on their own time. We usually put up practice files under “Resources” (members-only access) so that you can download your part and listen to it on whatever portable music-playing device you own. No musical experience is needed, but the ability to read music is an asset (if you can't read music, we'll help you learn).  less

In the past years, Chamber Choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian Choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national Choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The Choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed Choirs’.

Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. The University Choir is the premier auditioned ensemble of Colorado Christian University. The ensemble focuses on a cappella sacred repertoire but also performs world music. The University Choir is a regular performer at conferences and tours annually.
