Come experience the joy of latin American music through choral singing! Amazonia Vocal Ensemble was founded in 2007 by Dr. Cristian Grases, and debuted on Nov. 30 of that year at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Miami. The ensemble rehearses weekly and is comprised of volunteer musicians, both professional and amateur. The ensemble has performed throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well in Naples in 2009 & 2012, Puerto Rico in 2010, and most recently in Washington DC in 2015. With two musical productions “Buenas Versiones” (2008) and “Rumba Romance” (2011) the Band has based their work on research and development of new ways of interpreting a cappella Vocal music of various genres, in implementing voices assemblies and timbres that inspired the creation of strings, wind and percussion. Thus, they recreate repertoires and original sounds of Venezuela and latin American, which makes the band a new identity communication vehicle and the artistic and cultural development of the region.
