Sejak awal mula berdiri hingga saat ini, JYC merupakan salah satu organisasi kepemudaan yang dibina oleh Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi DKI Jakarta.

Our aspiration is to take township Choral singing to higher a level. We are also aiming at focusing more on Choral projects and Concerts than competitions so that our singers enjoy singing and get compensated for engaging in The Choir. Choir members are taught Theory and History of music for free.

By participating in our Choir program, Youths not only develop new talents and improve Their cognitive abilities, but They also serve as mentors and positive role models for younger generations. Our unique approach promotes intergenerational collaboration and fosters a sense of community, ultimately leading to reduced Youth unemployment rates and a decrease in crime rates. TogeTher, we can create a harmonious society where music education and social integration go hand in hand.  less

Kokopelli has been a featured ensemble at many events, provincially, nationally, and internationally. These include The Rocky Mountain National Music Festival, Podium (The biannual conference of The Association of Canadian Choral Communities), The regional conference of The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), The International Society of Music Educators conference, and oThers. In addition to many North American cities, The Choir has toured to Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Malaysia, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland and Zambia. Kokopelli is often The ambassador for The Choir association and as such, has received several awards for Their work with Youth, music education, and The African Projects Fund.
