A restless, energetic SATB piece suitable for collegiate Choirs. A driving piano part--influenced by minimalism and rock music--provides a rhythmic impetus for more expansive, colorful vocal lines. At turns frenzied, lyrical, and visceral, this piece pays disillusioned tribute to that not-so-glamorous icon of the open road, the Greyhound bus.

Under the direction of John Alexander, the 140-voice Pacific Chorale and its 24-voice professional chamber Choir, the John Alexander Singers, present an annual concert season at Segerstrom Center and other area venues, as well as appearing as frequent guest artists with local and visiting orchestras. The Choir’s directors have traditionally been exclusively women — talented Choirmasters who represented the classical Russian choral school. The repertoire of the MEPhI Male Choir includes practically all genres of choral music: Russian and Western classics and spiritual music, opera choruses, works by modern composers, Russian folksongs, and some popular songs of the Soviet era.  less
