Participants performed in the crypt of the legendary Sagrada Família in Barcelona, in the historic Sant Romà Church in Lloret de Mar, and joined choirs from different countries to fill the city’s main square with music. The competition became a true platform for cultural exchange: creative meetings, joint rehearsals, and masterclasses with international experts gave participants new knowledge and lasting inspiration. They take their name after Bruce Springsteen’s album The Seeger Sessions, since their first concert took place at a lecture on American Folk Music when Springsteen was touring Italy in 2006. In 2011 they published their first CD, Songs of Freedom, a collection of protest songs with a strong connection to the Civil Rights Movement. In 2015 TSV published their first original single, “Graces (Dropping Again)” written by ZogaroS. In 2017 TSV will release a concept album of 16 songs and vocal interludes composed and produced by all the girls. “Broken Dream”, written by Chiara Cortez and Emanuele Jorma Gasperi, is the first single published to launch the record.  less

Lifted by one hundred voices accompanied by professional soloists and orchestras, Paris Choral Society programs draw on celebrated requiems, masses and other pieces by Mozart, Handel, Boulanger, Verdi, Haydn, Hildegard von Bingen, Bach, Fauré and Mendelssohn, to name a few. We also perform the finest in modern choral works by Benjamin Britten, Nathaniel Dett, Maurice Duruflé, Elaine Hagenberg, Kim Porter, Carl Rütti and others with occasional forays into American hymns and spirituals and operatic favorites. The chorale is unique in Paris, too, for its membership, which the New York Times once described as “unpaid but professional-level.” Its singers are French- and English-speaking, of all ages and backgrounds, and competition at auditions can be lively. Although the choir originated and is based in Preston, Lancashire, members come from all over the North West. Individual choir members are involved in a wide range of local community projects and often call upon the whole choir to help drive fundraising events across the region. One Voice Community Choir celebrates diversity and continually sources new material from its multi-cultural roots. The inspired leadership of Musical Director Tyndale Thomas MBE, combined with 14 years of performance experience has produced a stunning sound and versatile choral ensemble.
