We look for the unknown and the unsung. Composers such as Robert White, Jean Mouton and Jean L'Heritier are amongst our repertoire. In addition we champion the music from current composers such a Miskinis, Part and Dubra. In addition we love singing Tallis, Byrd and Tomkins, Tye, Victoria, Guerrero and Padilla etc! We are based in Milton Keynes and have a reputation as being among the very best in the region. We are available for concerts and weddings, plus services in cathedrals and churches. We have provided the services at key UK cathedrals including Westminster Abbey, Salisbury, Hereford and Coventry to name a few. less

Guided by the works of ages past and inspired by the composers of today, Voce’s unique sound has been acclaimed as “exemplifying choral performance at its finest” as expressed by world-renowned composer Morten Lauridsen. Noted for its “tender warmth, exquisite nuance and enduring spirit” by the American Record Guide, and described as “heartbreakingly beautiful” by Stereophile Magazine, each Voce concert is an experience of sound - a journey of harmony. less

Stoke Fleming is a small hamlet on the English Channel. The text for this work is a secular meditation on the rocks and the waves written by the composer during a weekend stay there in 1978. The music was completed in January 2000 and received a reading by the Gregg Smith Singers at the Adirondack Festival of American Music in July 2000.

English Translation:
Oh! What an unbearable pain!
Oh, gracious God!
What an unbearable sorrow!
The third bell of the Cathedral just rang;
The sun set long ago behind Mount Lopital...
Mother Nature derailed, straining everyone to misery.
Large structures and small rafts have turned to dust and ashes.
Jesus, Marie, and Joseph... Grace and Mercy...
Mother Nature derailed, straining everyone to misery.
We see, but we don't understand,
It happened so suddenly.
The earth trembled!
The earth shook harder than a desert's leaf.
Help! Help! Rescue me, I beg you!
I'm at a loss for words...
Dies irae, dies illa; (Day of wrath, day of anger)
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine.
(Grant them eternal rest, Lord.)
Haiti! Haiti! What an unbearable pain,
Tighten your belt.
Haiti! Haiti! You are a valiant woman,
Hang in there, don't give up...
Rubberneckers from everywhere ask: "How's it going?"... less
