"Shenandoah - the lush a cappella harmonies towards the end had me hitting the repeat button again and again, if only to wallow in the glorious antithetical glissandos in the last measure. I loved that! " Barbara Allen - Pasadena, California USA Lyrics ’Mid all the traffic of the ways, Turmoils without, within, Make in my heart a quiet place, And come and dwell therein. A little shrine of quietness, All sacred to Thyself, Where Thou shalt all my soul possess, And I may find myself. A little place of mystic grace, of self and sin swept bare, Where I may look into thy face, And talk with thee in prayer. Let us approach to his presence in confession: and in psalms let us make joy to him. Alleluia. (Words based on the first two verses of Psalm 95, known as the Venite)

We took part of our rehearsal last night to honor Black History Month and celebrate the diversity of our Chorus. What better way to celebrate than with song. We chose "Oh Happy Day"' a late '60s gospel song with its roots from an 18th-century Hymn.
