Founded in February 2008 in order to bring polished intimate and historical choral music to local communities, VAE regularly performs in Northern CA and has toured abroad in Ireland. Richly themed programs celebrate the elegant beauty of Renaissance motets, tonal color of modern works, and exotic flavor of music from other cultures. VAE relies exclusively on donations at concerts to defray costs. This piece was part of their program in the Musica Profana category for the Vocal Groups (max 16 singers) round of competition. Our project El Otro en la Sociedad Criolla focused on compositions on the issues of minority groups discriminated against during the colony, such as indigenous peoples, blacks, gyp...  onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreone;">We are dedicated to the research and diffusion of dramatic colonial music. Our project El Otro en la Sociedad Criolla focused on compositions on the issues of minority groups discriminated against during the colony, such as indigenous peoples, blacks, gypsies and the disabled. We love music in Spanish and the native languages ​​of Spanish America. We love creating theater from these themes.
