The Choir's founder and artistic director is Maestro Zakar Keshishian. The Choir’s pianist is Mrs. Kamila Keshishian. The Choir has a multilingual playlist which extends from Armenian traditional folk songs to modern Armenian or non-Armenian songs. These songs are performed in different ways: - A capella - Accompanied by the piano - Accompanied by the Armenian folk traditional band - Accompanied by a modern contemporary band. Many Armenian musicians from Armenia enrich the Choir's repertoire with their unique and creative works. The Choir members are composed of university students and secondary classes students in Armenian High Schools, as well as young Armenians in the work force. The word 'vacilando' is Spanish, and refers to taking enjoyment out of the journey rather than focusing on the destination. As such, the Choir will take a more casual approach to music-making, with fewer performances throughout the season than Òran, our young adult Choir. The group will still place an emphasis on all the things that make Kokopelli's music-making unique, however: community, multiculturalism, choral excellence, and multifaceted performances.  less

A key feature of the Choir's profile is its wide repertoire and creative concert formats. The Choir's Classical repertoire ranges from Monteverdi to Schnittke, its popular repertoire from folk tunes to pop/rock a cappella. Vox Humana has released two CDs and an award-winning music video.

The Choir consists of participants in workshop weeks, which are offered twice a year in different European countries. Overtone singing is a new vocal technique that allows for singing two tones simultaneously. EOC sings compositions with written overtones as well as Choir improvisations and contemporary music. The effect of controlled overtones on the timbre of Classical Choir compositions is explored with special ear training.

Launched in 2006, this Choir for treble and changing voices continues to expand its horizons, develop its membership and satisy a variety of musical tastes. The Choir has toured throughout British Columbia and Alberta. In July 2011, they sang in Ottawa at the Unisong festival for Canada Day, and in July 2013 the group was featured at the presitigious and exciting international Festival 500 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Wherever the Choir travels, we spread the joy of music-making and hope to bring communities together through song. The Choir currently has around 30 members, with Martin Weston as musical director. The Choir's repertoire is wide and varied, with many songs taken from shows and films. We also sing sacred, gospel, jazz, pop and world music, with the odd novelty number thrown in! We perform at many events in Lancashire and Merseyside, including two main concerts each year at Rainford Parish Hall, plus charity events and private functions.  less
