Based out Of the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area, the prOfessional, Christian male ensemble, Brethren, is a group comprised Of 30 singers from all walks Of Life and includes prOfessional military musicians, free-lance artists, financial planners, s...  moreBased out Of the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area, the prOfessional, Christian male ensemble, Brethren, is a group comprised Of 30 singers from all walks Of Life and includes prOfessional military musicians, free-lance artists, financial planners, school teachers, church musicians, a surveyor, a defense contractor, a park ranger, a flight attendant and a member Of the Metropolitan Opera Company in New York City. In addition, they hail from eleven different states in the Union: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and, Of course, Washington, D.C. The group actually began in October 2005 recording a small project Of a cappella hymns (The Hymn Project) as a Christmas gift for one Of their mothers. Life got in the way. We are now actively trying again to recruit new members. The Renaissance Revelers madrigal ensemble performs medieval and renaissance music in the greater Washington DC metro area. The ensemble has performed at the Maryland Renaissance Festival annually since 1987. Are you a choral singer? Do you like to sing old and interesting music in different languages? Do you like to dress in costume and attend renaissance festivals? We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Renaissance Revelers are looking for singers. All parts are needed, but we are in particular need Of tenors and basses. Ability to sight read is not required but is desirable. We perform annually at the Maryland Renaissance Festival with a few gigs also thrown in over the holidays. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in Rockville, MD. Interested?
