An artist who stops creating ceases to be an artist. Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology, the oldest artistic student organization at the Gdańsk University of Technology, despite current situation, has not ceased its activity. We organise ourselves, work and create. This is the first "product" of our virtual work.
We did it for yourselves to give you a little respite, joy, smile, hope and faith in a better future. Thanks to the fact that we have a share in culture - as creators and recipients - it is easier to live, it is easier to face everyday challenges.
Music has great power. Music reaches our senses. We become better People thanks to music.
-- Conductor, Mariusz Mróz
The accompaniment to the song was played on a digital piano by Ewa Mróz, while the part of the oboe was performed by Karolina Kacprzycka. less

There has been a long tradition of musical excellence at St Laurence’s. The original church, built in the 1880s, had a strong choir of men and boys who took part in the Festival of Britain services in 1951.
When the new church was opened in 1968, the musical tradition continued. A new Walker organ was installed in the church, using some pipework from the old organ and Directors of Music have included David Sanger, Professor Roger Wibberley, Paul Dewhurst, Tom Fowkes, Marcus Wibberley, Iain Simcock and Andrew Ibbotson. The current Director of Music is Huw Morgan.
Girls were first admitted to the choir some ten years ago, but the choir remains unique in this part of south-east London in that it continues to use only trebles (girls and boys) on the top line. The lower parts are provided by volunteer adults from the local community. Young People receive an excellent musical education, and ... less

PG Carnivalesque" under the patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred People who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During the performance we heard choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from the musical West Side Story that graced the walls of the Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations.
Jazz musicians performed along with the choir, and the musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement.
The more-than-hour-long performance by the Academic Choir of the Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation. less

For many People, ‘Male Voice Choir’ evokes images of men in blazers standing on a windy hillside singing Men of Harlech. But not all men’s choirs are like that and Bournemouth Male Voice Choir certainly isn’t. Not only is our music diverse – spanning everything from Palestrina and Poulenc to Take That and Queen – but the range of venues we sing in and the diversity of our members’ interests means that BMVC has something for everyone.
Have you ever sat at home watching one of those choir programmes on TV and wished you could be a part of something like that? If you have, then the Bournemouth Male Voice Choir could be for you.
