The choir's mission is to nurture Bulgarian talent and instill a love for choral art among young individuals aged 16 to 35. It honors Bulgaria's choral traditions while occasionally embracing contemporary trends in choral performance, employing techniques like body percussion and mise-en-scène to enhance their vocal craft. Founded as Pastoral - female chamber choir in 1987, nowadays the ensemble carries the name of its originator Irina Stiglich. Тhe choir's repertoire encompasses (or includes) works by both Bulgarian and international composers, spanning eras from the Renaissance to modern times. They've embarked on concert tours across the country and abroad participating in international choral festivals and competitions. In these few years, the young all-girls choir has grown from strength to strength. Since June 2009, under the direction of their Conductor, Mr Darius Lim, the choir has garnered numerous accolades and awards to their name. In 2010 the choir won the Gold Award at the 3rd Orientale Concentus International Choral Competition in Yilan, Taiwan. The choir was also Category Winner and was one of four choirs to be invited to compete in the grand finals. In 2011 the choir attained their first Silver award at the Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Choirs. In the same year they came in 2nd at the National A Capella Championships. The choir has also collaborated with numerous national ensembles such as the Singapore Police Force Band and Choir and the Singapore Armed Forces Band. According to his wife, Constanze Mozart, the ailing composer had come to believe he was writing the piece, initially commissioned by a German count, to be played at his own funeral — and indeed some sections were. Requiem was later performed at the funerals and commemorative services of Ludwig van Beethoven, Joseph Haydn, and Frédéric Chopin. Centuries later in 1960, “scraps of paper” containing Mozart’s unrealized ideas were discovered, prompting new versions of the Requiem.
