Music and Lyrics by Santiago Veros https://www.santiagoveros.site Washington and Lee University Singers is a Choir conducted by Shane Lynch. This version belongs to a general rehearsal during Santiago Veros' visit to Washington and Lee University (Lexington, VA) in November 2021. Galaxias is a piece commissioned by The Cantabile Singers - Chris Bowman, conductor Kings Chorale - Bill Perrot, conductor Dedicated with a deep feeling to Bill Perrot, Chris Bowman, Christine Crofut Carpenter, Elaine Farrar Kondrat, Howard Dawson, Joy Hewitt and Marti Dawson Galaxias We are all stars, we are to illuminate and be illuminated by those around us. This piece will always remain in my heart because it has been the result of the commission of very luminous people who have given me warmth while I was recovering from a hard setback of health. This work is the adventure of mutual support. We are lighting our way but the neighboring stars -those...    less
