Since our first practice on 14 February 2013 the choir has grown to over 80 members with around 60 attending each Thursday.

A ladies' a capella four part harmony group we have our roots in barbershop but sing all sorts of Music from old standards and barbershop classics to mega pop hits by groups like Abba and Queen. We perform sing outs for local groups in our area of Hampton in South West London, and take part in local fairs and festivals. Our weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays are a fun evening of singing, chatting and having fun together. We are always open to having new members. Experience is not required, nor is the ability to read Music as we have 'teach tracks' with the songs in your part on (tenor, lead, baritone or bass) and access to these are given alongside sheet Music. From time to time we run singing courses or open evenings for which there are no auditions. In 2005 the local Council of the borough of North Down conferred the status of Borough Ambassador on Bangor Ladies choir. This is the first conferment ever to an external Organisation outside of the Council Membership and the choir were privileged and proud to accept this unique position. Nonetheless, there is a group of youth who have come together to form a choir which has made a mark both at home and abroad. The Winneba Youth choir, known to be the number one choral Music group in the country was founded in May 1989, under the patronage of Mr. George Mensah-Essilfie and Mr. John Francis Arthur-Yamoah (Paa John). The choir has progressed steadily to the extent that it is now recognized as the most outstanding youth choir of the nation. In March 1998 the choir was incorporated and regist¬ered as a non-profit making association, with the objective of providing a platform for the education and development of the youth in Winneba and surrounding towns through the medium of singing.
