If it looks like I'm tired that's because I was, I recorded this at 6 in the morning I have been in contact with Darmon Meader (the arranger of this piece) and he informed me that there are actually 2 typos in the sheet music that had been published, so I think that it's pretty cool that I'll be singing the correct notes (unlike most of the times that this piece is performed) Thanks for watching and please comment, subscribe, like, and share with your friends. The piece was written for the 50th anniversary of the Habaneras Contest in Torrevieja, Spain. The musical writing has nothing of a traditional habanera. The constant habanera rhythm is not present but must be felt as an internal rhythm. What I have included is the alternation of minor and major modes so typical of habaneras. We rehearse at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. We aim to unite and represent our community through our Joy of singing. The choir has over sixty singers rehearsing each week and the main focus in rehearsals is preparation for performances. These performances can take the form of concerts and appearances in festivals and other events in the local community.
