Members of ...  moreThe Virginia Wesleyan Chorale is a small, auditioned group at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Virginia. The choir is composed of 16-20 singers from all majors who perform a variety of music, from classical, to folk, to contemporary Jazz. Members of the Wesleyan Chorale also perform in the Wesleyan Singers, an open-enrollment ensemble that performs a variety of music while developing vocal technique and musicianship skills.

The group works mostly acapella but has also performed in other styles, such as big band. The group's repertoire ranges from Israeli folk to American Jazz and British pop. The emphasis always being on tight harmony, even balance and a clear unit sound. The Yakinton Octet is truly a singer's group, consisting of eight friends who work as a democratic group with no professional conductor.
