For many people, ‘Male Voice Choir’ evokes images of men in blazers standing on a windy hillside singing Men of Harlech. But not all men’s Choirs are like that and Bournemouth Male Voice Choir certainly isn’t. Not only is our music diverse – spanning everything from Palestrina and Poulenc to Take That and Queen – but the range of venues we sing in and the diversity of our members’ interests means that BMVC has something for everyone. The sense of walking at night is evoked as are the inner-blues of the poem. Rhythmic and thought-provoking. Afterwards, simmer the audience at low heat for five minutes and finally – depending on the favored intensity – let it rise by 200 degrees for about half an hour up to 1, 5 hours. The result will satisfy every single taste and linger on for a very long time. A feast for both eyes and ears, looking for peers. This displays the recipe forming the basis of an evening with the str8voices from Hanover. Immense a cappella- energy out of 8 young throats, interpreting songs such as “run run run” by the Real Group in a quite own and individual way. Apart from that, str8voices’ wide repertoire consists of own songs and arrangements. All eight singers were skilled in a classical way, educating themselves in Swing and Jazz by attending several workshops and masterclasses (with Kirby Shaw, Bob Stoloff...    less
