Lola Ridge "the Destroyer" depicts the forceful essence of Wind. Gracefully waving around the globe, causing avalanches, and sweeping cities away, the piece conveys the Wind's destructive potential. Based on a well-known Jewish folk tale, the piece is largely sung in Yiddish, featuring narrated passages in English, with the moral resolution in Hebrew.
