Les Chantres Musiciens’ repertoire is both varied and complex, comprising a range of works from the Romantic period (including Mendelssohn, Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms) to Post-Romantic and modern compositions (including, for example, Schafer, Reger, Schönberg, and Langlais). The ensemble has earned a reputation for excellence, confirmed by prizes at national and international competitions, tours, and several distinguished recordings. Their first tour brought them through Germany and France, garnering critical and public acclaim, particularly at the Festival de Musique de Moselle. In the age-old park, treading the icy grass
Two lone forms ere a while went past.
Their eyes are dead, their lips are soft and moist,
Almost inaudible their voice.
In the cold lonely park, pacing the grass,
Twin lonely spectres have evoked the past.
"Dost thou recall our ecstasy of old?"
"Why would you think I should recall?"
"and at my name does thy heart pulse and grow?
and in thy dreams seest thou my soul?" "No!"
"Those lovely days of unheard bliss and free ...
We fused our lips as one!" "Ah, that might be."
"How blue the heavens and our hope how high!"
"Hope has fled vanquished to the sombre sky."
and so they wandered in the unkempt grass,
and night alone heard all the words that passed. Less_link" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">Less

My English version here is a singing translation, so feel free to sing along in English :-)
Guillaume prends ton tambourin
Toi, prends ta flûte, Robin;
Au son de ces instruments
"Turelurelu, patapatapan"
Au son de ces instruments
Je dirai Noel gaîment.
Willie take your little drum
With your flute oh Robin come
With the sound of flute and drum
tootle tootle toot, bing a bang a boom
with the flute and with the drum
I will say Nowell with joy.
C'était la mode autrefois
De louer le Roi des rois
Au son de ces instruments
"Turelurelu, patapatapan"
Au son de ces instruments
Il nous en faut faire autant.
In the goodly olden days
The king of kings we'd praise
with the drum and with the flute
tootle tootle toot, bing a bang a boom,
with the flute and with the drum
we should do alike just so Less_link" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">Less
