The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the Southwest and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consists of vocal Music majors, however, there are singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid Distinguished Teaching Professor at East Central University. He has served on the Music faculty at ECU since 1983.  less

However it does not exempt the work of works accompanied by instrumental ensemble, piano, etc. This group's training base is four singers, two of them Music professionals, malleable according to the repertoire, joining more singers if so required. Being a recent ensemble, it premiered in the March 2015 concert with the Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in the Chapel of Covão do Coelho and the Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Caldara, A. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, G. Out he walks, six feet tall, twenty two years, ripped jeans, but respectable (it's Saturday after all). He's no threat he's going to cruise the shops. Along she walks with her groceries old, frail, her life hangs behind her like a snail-trail, dirty but still quite natural. Her eyes focus, she sees him: the determined stride and the baseball cap, the torn pants and his Walkman. Fearful, frightened, full of disgust and mistrust, she crosses the street, scowling like a scornful cat that's just been thrown off a lap. I felt ashamed, I felt annoyed What about trust? I just wouldn't react that way. But then, as a youth approached me I had a sudden and crucial thought. I don't want to be smashed up and I don't want to lose these things that I've just bought. So I crossed the street and silently became a product of this century.  less
