The cornerstone of The Chorus is traditional boychoir music including sacred and secular pieces spanning The Middle Ages to The present.
The Chorus incorporates songs and ballads of The American Southwest and oTher repertoire into its program in a unique way. Costumed as cowboys The boys sing The songs of The saddle and showcase Their trick rodeo roping. The Chorus also performs contemporary music including Broadway show tunes, international songs, holiday music and modern favorites.
Additionally, The Chorus represents The Tucson community as a world renowned choral organization. It has toured throughout The U.S. and many countries around The world. Last year we performed at The a cappella competition Anahat, in Berkeley, CA, as a guest act at The dance competition Naach Nation, in New York, NY, and across The Midwest. As 2012 approaches, our group will be reaching its 10th anniversary and putting out our THIRD studio album!
Chai-Town is a completely student-run, non-profit group of 16 members, each of whom has a passion for music. We love sharing this passion with our friends and family, our community, and The world. less
