Ernst Widmer (1927-1990) was a Swiss-Brazilian composer, conductor, pianist and professor. He came to Brazil in 1956 and spent half of his life in Salvador. He was a member of the Brazilian Academy of Music. He was master of three generations of conductors and composers in Brazil.
