The main character – Fauvel – is an incarnation of sin, irrationality, unreliability, dominance, flattery. Fortuna Won’t Be Fauvel’s Match! mocks human egotism, hedonism, hypocrisy and excesses of the governing classes, of secular as well as church rule, a society contaminated by sin and corruption. Elle est impressionnante. Un résultat et une interprétation de Calliope superbes, mais quel choc: malgré la musique, malgré les voix, malgré le texte, le temps semble être suspendu. Ou plutôt, on le voit passer sans pouvoir ni le maîtriser, ni en profiter. C'est une musique du vide mental, spirituel et même physique. Une musique du néant alors qu'on pressent que tant de choses se passent au-delà. Si c'est cela votre conception de l'enfermement carcéral, je ne veux jamais connaître la prison.
