In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the Choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. This was the fourth and last song performed in the final round of Folklore Acappela Category -- World Choir Games 2006 in Xiamen, China. After winning the qualification round, ITB Choir won a silver medal in the final round and was ranked in the tenth place.
