It is well known as an iconic music venue attracting major artists. It is also a centre for social justice and community activities. In recent years, The church has been developing music in our Sunday services with a range of genres, classical, jazz, gospel, and world music. The church has also created several unique events led by our musicians. These have included our annual Christmas Candlelight service, good Friday evening performances and smaller events to commemorate such occasions as Black History Month, a remembrance event in The Covid pandemic. Besides The usual church festivals, we also have special services for Refugee Week, Gay Pride, Holocaust Memorial, and oTher special commemorations. Their philanthropic mission is to provide funding and support for music education in our schools and The community. On September 10 of this year, Nashville Singers awarded Their first Music Makes a Difference music education grant to John Overton High School. The singers are all volunteers, range in age from teenagers to retirees and travel from five different counties throughout Middle Tennessee to be a part of The chorus.
