The East Rand Youth choir hosts prestigious choir festivals annually for both high school and primary school choirs. The aim of these festivals are to motivate and inspire these choirs in order to achieve true development and innovation for our youth.
The choir is truly proud of its legacy and will continue to build on the name which is the East Rand Youth choir.

Our repertoire contains International music, but especially Arabic songs from different heritages (Lebanese, Palestinian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Syrian, Mouashah...). and for the first time, we have Arabic songs arranged with quarter tones. Our aim is to show the real civilized image of the Arab world and to spread our rich Music.

This performance by The Graduate choir NZ exploits with delight the wonderful collaboration with NZ Barok who provide the gamut of instrumental colour using original instruments (or modern copies of originals) and with specialist players from Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
This performance is further enhanced by the use of "Baroque pitch" - the nearest equivalent to the pitch used in Germany at the start of the 18th century where A = 415, a semitone lower than our modern pitch.
In keeping with these stylistic demands, the size of the choir is reduced to 3-5 voices per part. In these ways, every effort is made to preserve and re-create as far as possible the "Affekt" of the music, aligning this performance as closely as possible with what may have been expe... less

The Concert choir gives a number of performances in Southern California every year, and has also toured in Canada, Hawaii, Europe, and the United States. The Concert choir performs a variety of accompanied and unaccompanied repertoire, and collaborates annually with the CSUF University Singers to present performances of choral-orchestral masterworks. They have joined the University Singers in performances with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. for the past four years they have represented CSUF at the Pacific Southwest Intercollegiate Choral Association Festival of choirs.
