Each character...  moreThe Poohratorio is based on chapter 8 of A A Milne’s “Now we are Six” (The expotition to the North Pole) It is set for various Voices (spoken and sung) and either guitar or guitar with other optional instruments following the guitar part. Each character has his own theme (leitmotif). This 1989 recording was created by the composer using his voice, classical guitar and various electronic instruments.

The translation is by Francesco Campelli on CPDL The performance was created in memory of the late Richard Gofton, who introduced me to the Music back in 1976 (Our Strasbourg choir Psalterion performed it at that time)

As a choir, the Consort has a wide repertoire, ranging from Early Church Music through to Folksongs and modern works. Each programme is different and reflects the wishes of those for whom we perform. Since the Consort’s formation it has raised, through its choral concerts, many thousands of pounds for a wide range of charities and churches. It is always glad to consider invitations from such organisations. Its services are given voluntarily, although a contribution towards its Music library and other expenses is gratefully received. We would love to come and sing to you and help you raise much needed funds for your cause.
