The Choir represented Singapore at the 2018 World Choir Games in Tshwane, South Africa, and brought home a gold and a silver medal in separate categories. In 2017, TGS emerged champion for the chamber category in the 5th Vietnam International Choir Competition. Under the leadership of music director, Adyll Hardy, TGS has performed full-length concerts at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Victoria Concert Hall, SOTA Concert Hall and YST Conservatory Concert Hall. For its fifth anniversary, the Choir launched its debut EP, now available on Spotify and iTunes. The Choir’s international footprints include being the first Singaporean Choir to be part of the Distinguished Concerts International New York’s Concert Series, Messiah…Refreshed! This choral group comes from the experience of the first months of 2018, with the project 'Canta amb l'OBC' organized by the L'Auditori of Barcelona, which consisted of a diverse symphonic program with accompaniment of the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra. It was a lively and intense musical experience that led a good part of the group to continue singing as a symphonic Choir, which is how they define themselves. Singing, living together and sharing is the motto of this choral group. The general aim is to acquire the necessary musical experience that allows the group to consolidate itself as a stable chorale and to position itself as one of the leading Choirs of the Catalan musical scene.
