Our repertoire embraces operatic and lighter music alongside classical choral works, with orchestra, from Bach to Bernstein, and a wide range of a cappella repertoire, which we have also toured abroad. Our second CD was released in November 2009. A friendly Choir of 60-70 singers, we give four main local concerts a year and enjoy touring. Since 2002, our concert tours have included Lake Garda, Venice, Umbria, Tuscany, Kraków, Amiens and Ghent. In the UK we have performed at the London Coliseum (2006), Ely Cathedral (2007), the Southbank Centre (2010) and Winchester Cathedral (2011).  less

Established in 1979, Chicago Master Singers (CMS) is an auditioned chorus of 100 volunteer singers from Chicago and suburban communities. The ensemble’s repertoire includes great choral works and new works by living composers. CMS performs unaccompanied, and also collaborates with professional instrumentalists and soloists. Our singers come together from a wide range of towns in Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Each season we perform choral masterworks with professional soloists and a professional orchestra. We have recently performed: the Mozart Requiem, the Mass in B Minor by J.S. Bach and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Carmina Burana, Ola Gjeilo Dark Night of The Soul, and currently rehearsing the Verdi Messa Da Requiem under the artistic leadership of conductor Anne Watson Born. We love making great music together, and we work hard in rehearsals to bring an expressive and thrilling sound to our performances. Maite Rodríguez y está integrado por más de cuarenta cantantes, algunos de ellos músicos profesionales, otros docentes, estudiantes de música o cantantes aficionados, en algunos casos con largas trayectorias en el ambiente coral de nuestro país. Todos, con distintos perfiles y edades, unidos por la pasión hacia la música y el canto coral. Desde el comienzo, el ensamble tiene por objetivo investigar la música coral a capella de los siglos XX y XXI -sacra, profana y popular- de compositores tanto de Latinoamérica como de Europa. El interés estuvo puesto en traer a nuestro medio músicas con planteos compositivos novedosos y arreglos que acercan a los distintos folklores, aportando timbres, ritmos y la fuerza de la tradición propia de cada pueblo.
