is an award winning, a Cappella group in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, (UAE). Founded in 2008, BF has been entertaining Abu Dhabi audiences ever since!
Our multicultural members have musical skills ranging from professional to semi professional levels. We learn our parts with precision, thus allowing us to put aside our sheet music and really enjoy the magic of hearing all the harmonies merged for a fine tuned a Cappella sound!
A Cappella is a vocal tradition as old as music itself, has held a prominent place in many musical genres. Blue Fever focuses on jazz and contemporary pop. Derived from the Italian phrase "in the manner of the chapel," a Cappella refers to vocal music performed without any instrumental accompaniment. This definition seems simple at first, but a Cappella is a complex art form that demands precise intonation, exceptional vocal blending, and often, a high degree of innovation. While a Cappella shares some similarities with traditional choir singing, i... less

In the age-old park, treading the icy grass
Two lone forms ere a while went past.
Their eyes are dead, their lips are soft and moist,
Almost inaudible their voice.
In the cold lonely park, pacing the grass,
Twin lonely spectres have evoked the past.
"Dost thou recall our ecstasy of old?"
"Why would you think I should recall?"
"And at my name does thy heart pulse and grow?
And in thy dreams seest thou my soul?" "No!"
"Those lovely days of unheard bliss and free ...
We fused our lips as one!" "Ah, that might be."
"How blue the heavens and our hope how high!"
"Hope has fled vanquished to the sombre sky."
And so they wandered in the unkempt grass,
And night alone heard all the words that passed. less

Wow. Hold on, give me a second... I need to relax after this one.
This was crazy difficult. Not only was it just difficult note-wise, but the rhythms were ridiculous too. It was loads of fun though!
I started working on this in June. I did take July and August off while I was away for the summer, but all in all this is the product of a little less than 4 months of work.
There are 8 voices that you don't see, but that's just because I couldn't fit them on screen. 4 baritone voices and 4 tenor voices do not have videos to go along with them, but there aren't any splits in those parts so I don't... less

music composed and performed by David W Solomons [aka the dwsChorale].
This particular setting was composed with a Small mixed-ability choir
in mind, so the voices are mainly in two parts (men's and women's voices),
splitting to four parts (SATB) occasionally, where the words suggest it.
The musical style is reminiscent of the 19th century although the piano
part does go into 20th century style syncopation at times.
