With a membership of around 140 singing a wide range of music, from big Choral works to more modern pieces, both cLassical, secular and popular, SingSoc welcomes people with a wide range of experience who just want to sing, whether student or not.

The Chamber choir comprises of some 40 adult mixed voices. SPS are based at the heart of a vibrant City of Leeds where it is one component of the larger Choral Foundation of Leeds Minster. Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings and singers are most welcome to come along. The Singer's perform Concerts at the Minster as well as the wider Leeds area and further afield in Yorkshire, UK and internationally. Lass="view_more">The ROYAL College CHOIR, which traces its origins back to St. Paul’s Church, Wolvendhal where Royal College itself was formed in 1835 It was made part of the Western Music Society of Royal College with its formation in the year 1919. During the tenure of Principal Major Harry L. Reed the Choir won the prestigious R. Meaden Shield(Senior) for Singing for 10 successive years from 1920 to 1931, once with a perfect score of 200/200. The College Anthem ‘School of our Fathers’, composed by Principal Reed made its debut at this competition on the 13th day of July, 1928 and to this day takes responsibility of preserving the College Anthem. The Choir was trained by Mrs. Reed with the support of Robert C. Edwards, Esq. The Choir today continues to sing at many major events in and out of College, the most significant out of which being the Annual Carol Service. After performing Ola Gjeilo's 'The Ground' in our final Concert in 2019, ...  Lass="view_more_link" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreLass="view_more" style="display:none;">Macquarie Singers is an unauditioned Community choir from Epping, NSW, Australia. This is our first virtual choir, created October-December 2020 on Dharug, Eora and Kuring-gai land. After performing Ola Gjeilo's 'The Ground' in our final Concert in 2019, we were preparing it again for our 'Indomitable Spirit' Concert in May 2020. Then, Covid-19 arrived. Like many choirs, we kept going online, or outdoors when permitted. This film is a record of our year, made to remind ourselves that joy and connection are still available to us, despite distance and change.
