As these things do however, the ...  moreThe New 4tet is a group of four friends, Gemma, Emma, Gary and Noel, who as very experienced choral singers decided to meet once in a while to drink wine, chat, socialise, and do a bit of singing together, just for fun. As these things do however, the project has started to grow arms and legs, and we became available for the occasional bit of singing in public when we feel like it. Since then our performances have included singing in Glasgow Art Club, and in Edinburgh for the Royal College of Physicians. Based in the west of Scotland, we have all sung together in a prominent Glasgow Choir, but the New 4tet gives us a chance to enjoy the much more intimate sensations of singing one to a part. All four of us have been involved in the Music industry to a greater or lesser degree, and we all sing to a very high standard and love performing. The singers range across an assortment of careers, from educators to environmental engineers, and from students to Musicians. The Revelations won two Gold and one Silver medal at the World Choir games in Austria (2008) singing choral a-cappella style Music in the Gospel, Pop, and Male voice vocal ensemble categories. They were also declared world Champions in two of the categories after achieving the highest number of points in these two categories. We have won every single competition we have taken part in so far and are looking to improve our game and become better at what we do. Having been friends and in the choral scene for twenty years, the two have been talking about a project like this for around fifteen years. Spurred by the release of the revised English missal, Alejandro and Eugene both thought it a good time to finally restart the project that they had shelved for some time. Only now, the idea wasn’t just to end with a single album; the idea was now to establish a ministry that would introduce a new generation of Music to Philippine Catholics. The new ministry would have as its aim the creation of beautiful Music to help the faithful to a more prayerful, solemn state of mind.
