Wir essen und leben wohl (χορικό) Η καντάτα Christ lag in Todesbanden (Ο Χριστός κείται με τα δεσμά του θανάτου) είναι μια από τις πρώτες καντάτες του συνθέτη. Το λιμπρέτο της είναι ένας ύμνος του Λούθηρου. Κάθε ένα από τα επτά μέρη της καντάτας είναι και ένας στίχος του ύμνου, με τη μορφή variation. Ο Bach γράφει συμμετρικά: χορωδιακό – ντουέτο – σόλο – χορωδιακό – σόλο – ντουέτο – χορωδιακό. Στο κέντρο (4ος στίχος) είναι η μάχη ανάμεσα στη ζωή και στον θάνατο. It features people with disabilites and those without, from every section of the community in Northern Ireland. The age range is extensive, from seventeen to over seventy but most importantly members are united by their love of singing. Also winning ...  moreIn the World choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals.
