The carollers, an a cappella group, formed in 1977 by director Pierre Massie, has earned the distinction of being ranked amongst the best of Ontario Choirs in both the 2010 and 2013 Ontario Music Festival Association competition. They are a non-profit organization, who raise funds for local charities through concert, CD and cookbook sales.

The Choir performs every Sunday evening in the Roman Catholic cathedral of St. Colman's, a majestic building situated on a hill in the town famed for being the last port of call for the Titanic. The membership of the Choir has grown considerably in the last five years and it now boasts more than 30 voices. The Choir is a previous winner at the world famous Cork Choral Festival and has travelled to Vienna, London and Italy to perform at various events. In 2009 the Choir was honored to be asked to sing in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City for the Sunday liturgy. That same year they also performed at Westminster Cathedral. They have been asked back to St. Peter's in July 2013 to perform again. The Choir performs frequently both in Pontypridd and overseas, and has visited Poland, Ireland, the USA and Germany. Links have been forged with Liederkranz Oberensingen, a German male Choir from Pontypridd's twin town, Nürtingen.
The Choir also performs regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales and takes part in the HTV male choral competition. The Choir is currently broadening and improving its repertoire to provide a wide-ranging concert program.
The Choir is a member of the National Association of Choirs, the Welsh Association of Male Choirs and the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, and is a past winner of the HTV Male Choral Competition and at the National Eisteddfod of Wales. less
