Zur ZeIt bestehen die CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sängern im Alter von 11 bis 16 Jahren. MIt viel Freude und Engagement proben diese Kinder bzw. Jugendlichen einmal in der Woche je nach Stimmgruppe zwei bis vier Stunden. Fünfmal im Jahr gibt es Intensiv-Probensamstage und einmal im Jahr Intensiv-Probentage im Allgäu. Der Chor hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, anspruchsvolle ChorlIteratur verschiedener Stilepochen zu interpretieren. Dabei möchte er sich bewusst von vielen Klischees wenig kultivierten, schulchormäßigen Singens distanzieren und ist bei der Programmgestaltung darauf bedacht, dies auch nach außen hin sichtbar und hörbar zu machen. „Popularmusik“ ist Bestandteil, jeDoch auf keinen Fall substanzieller Grundsatz der musikalischen ArbeIt. Male voice singing is tradItio...  moreMevagissey is a small fishing village wIth a population of approximately 2,000 people. It is sItuated on the south coast of the County of Cornwall, the area of England protruding into the Atlantic Ocean facing North America. Male voice singing is tradItionally very popular in the county, there being 33 federated choirs numbering 1,300 singers out of a total population of nearly half a million. The choir was formed in 1974 and quickly matured into one of the leading and largest male choirs in Cornwall. It now has over 55 members including several founder members. The choir gives around 25 concerts each year, raising many thousands of pounds for various charIties. On the 10th July 2010 they celebrated their 900th public appearance. During a concert tour of Gibraltar in 1979 they performed in the famous St. Michael's Cave. Subsequent tours have been to Holland/Northern Germany, to the Black Forest area of Germany on two occasions and in 1990 the choir had a 14 day tour as guests of the Niagara Wine and Grape ...    less
