Toujours à la recherche de r... moreL’ensemble vocal Para L’Elles, créé en septembre 2011 par Agnès BLIN au sein de l’École Municipale Des Musiques et de Danse de MONTMAGNY (95 Val-d’Oise), explore le répertoire pour voix de femmes de la Renaissance à nos jours. Toujours à la recherche de répertoires originaux, l’ensemble interprète soit Des œuvres écrites initialement pour ensemble vocal féminin, soit Des adaptations pour ce type de formation.
Depuis sa création, Para L’Elles s’est déjà produit plusieurs fois en Ile-de-France (Paris et banlieue) et dans le Périgord, individuellement et lors de rencontres musicales, soit a cappella soit accompagné au piano ou par un ensemble instrumental.
L’ensemble est actuellement constitué de sept chanteuses amateurs confirmées, venues d’univers professionnels très différents mais que la passion du chant réunit. Elles peuvent être tour à tour soliste au sein de l’ensemble.

Because we seek to create meaningful musical experiences, we value interaction and education in our performances. Our audience members often tell us how much they love learning about the music from our director’s comments, which help them more fully enter into the music and enjoy it. less

ECU performs two major concerts each season with full professional orchestra musicians and pro soloists, and also a mini-concert of our singers in solos and duets with piano. We often appear as featured guest artists with Elmhurst Symphony and in local appearances.
Our outstanding volunteer singers come from throughout the Chicago area for a unique musical experience. Our conductor James MacDonald has directed choirs and orchestras throughout the U.S. and overseas, and teaches conducting and music theory. Working with him has made us better singers and more knowledgeable musicians.
