Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted the choir under the sponsorship of the Voice of Russia Radio Company to record its first CD – “Divinity in Sound”. Two more CDs were recorded in 2003 and 2005, devoted to Christmas and Easter. Since 2000 the choir began touring not only in Russia but also abroad, visiting Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Ukraine, Moldavia, Croatia, Montenegro, BiH and Estonia. The choir also took part in television shows in Russia and abroad, such as in the “Bregenzer Advent” in 2002. Apart from regular Concerts and recordings, the choir also minds it spiritual roots, regularly taking part in church services, both routine and special ceremonial, such as Episcopal services at which it frequently performs. Comprised of professionally trained musicians, Innismara is dedicated to the performance of the intimate and hidden treasures of the vocal ensemble repertoire. Innismara made its debut in the summer of 2010 at Muses and Minstrels: A Festival of Early Performing Arts held in conjunction with the Cupids 400 celebrations. In collaboration with the Hot Earth Ensemble, Innismara performed music from the late Renaissance and early Baroque, Highlights of which were recorded for national broadcast on CBC Radio. The success of these performances led to an invitation to participate in a series of workshops and performances in the Labrador Inuit communities of Nunatsiavut in the spring of 2011. We have won every single competition we have taken part in so far and are looking to improve our game and become better at what we do. We are currently preparing for our own show titled "The Vocal Project" which will feature almost all know genera of music. Well what better way to find out more about us than come listen to us? Recent Concerts have included Johann Sebastian Bach’s Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden, Samuel Barber’s Reincarnations and Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb. Strong sight-reading skills and musicianship are important to membership. This ensemble is directed by Dr. Jonathan Babcock, associate director of Choral activities.
