Acappellago was founded in 2002 by a number of community members seeking a Musical challenge. We present a wide variety of Music ranging from classical, contemporary, jazz, pop, gospel, spirituals & have given a number of world, US & Chicago premieres.

The main interest of the Choir is to serve through Music repertoires performances especially in Manado Diocese which consists of catholic churches of the province. The Choir performs ordinarily Music during Catholic Mass and other forms of Choir services in churches and events. The formation of this Catholic youth has agreed to give contribution to the church and the country as young generation through Music. In 2014, Manado Catholic Choir had established its junior member, named Manado Catholic Youth Choir (MCYC). The band sings mainly sacral, including orthodox Music, but also contemporary and folk. The Choir has rich concert activity in the country and abroad and with great success has participated in many choral contests and festivals. The ensemble performed hundreds of concerts and presented its skills at competitions and festivals in Germany, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary and many others. The Choir has recorded a few CDs: "Bogoroditse Devo, Raduisya" from 2008, "Musica Sacra" from 2013, "Canticum Canticorum" from 2017. The group is made up of twenty-somethings (mostly!) who are young professionals living in London. Founded by singers and beatboxers from the likes of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, Last Choir Standing and Britain's Got Talent favourites Out of the Blue, the group’s repertoire spans from Billy Joel to the Black Eyed Peas, via pop, jazz, barbershop, rap and original composition as they offer a programme of sumptuous jazz arrangements, genre jumping covers and assorted originals. Following a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, The Refrains enjoyed a sold-out London debut at The Forge, Camden. Recent gigs have included The London A Cappella Festival, Edinburgh International Book Festival, Silver Bullet and private events. First and foremost, its name is closely associated with its first conductor Artūrs Bobkovics (1885-1959), who already then had become "the king of Latvian symphonic Music". He organized the concerts of symphonic Music and helped promote them. For the first time, the Choir came together in the evening of October 18, when about 90 students gathered at Riga Secondary School No 2. The testing of voices was not very strict, and of the entire enthusiastic crowd only one student was rejected. Then, for a month, rehearsals were held, in which the voices of would-be singers were trained and made to keep in tune. After that another testing was held. This time the competition was much stricter, and only 40 singers were selected.
