To enrich our society, educate our communities, and develop our singers, we preserve the past, promote the present and foster the future of the choral art. Meistersingers was formed in Orange County, California, in 2000 as a response to a growing demand for quality choral music performance. Created to be a Chamber ensemble specializing in demanding classical choral works, Meistersingers maintains high standards in literature and chooses outstanding performance venues with beauty and elegance equal to the music. We are committed to continuing this path and expanding our influence in the music Community through different means such as composition competitions and scholarships. Aiming for 16-20 voices, SATB, rehearse in Hammersmith/Chiswick, about every 2 or 3 weeks. All busy professional folk, who understand we cannot all make every rehearsal! All busy professional folk, who understand we cannot all make every rehearsal! Classical almost always unaccompanied repertoire. Palestrina, Bach, Victoria, Britten, Howells, RVW, Elgar, Poulenc etc, Need enthusiasm, music reading and some sight singing, or a good ear and quick learning. We dont audition, but invite you to try us and we to try you for a couple of sessions and see. Perform about 2 or 3 times a year.

We sing anything from Richard Smallwood, Kirk Franklin, Jonathan Nelson and even Kanye! We meet every Wednesday evening from 7:30pm in Enfield, London, UK

Very much (but not exclusively) in the barbershop stlye. Even though we have only been going a few months, our numbers have been increasing weekly as more and more people are seduced by the magical sound of ringing chords. We aim to be a serious performing chorus in due course. We have had a very successful 2012 and hope for even better in 2013 where we have a whole host of exciting things planned. Stay tuned! We'd very much be interested in meeting/collaborating with other Choirs in our area. We are on Facebook so have a little look and maybe come and sing a few baas with us!  less
