We have taken part in many Choral competitions around Ireland with Success in New Ross, Arklow, Navan, Sligo and Cork. In 2013 we joined Wide Open Music in a performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, which was received with great enthusiasm. In the same year we also joined Opera Theatre Company for two performances in their tour to promote young Irish soloists. In recognition of the millennium year and augmented by local choirs from around the country, we performed the Verdi Requiem to great acclaim in both Bray and Arklow. The choir's size allows it to concentrate on performing the larger major Choral works to great effect. The choir has also been invited to collaborate with the Philharmonia Chorus and the BBC National Chorus of Wales on many occasions in recent years to tackle some of the Choral pieces requiring even greater Choral forces such as Mahler's Eighth Symphony, Janacek's Glagolitic Mass, the Dvorak Stabat Mater and La Damnation de Faust by Berlioz. We rehearsed for most of the day in ...  moreOn 24th November 2012 we brought together 98 singers and four Choral directors for our most ambitious project to date: a Choral workshop on Thomas Tallis' monumental 40-part motet, 'Spem in Alium', composed in 1570. We rehearsed for most of the day in two-choir sections, with our four Choral directors, Scott Inglis-Kidger, Sarah Tenant-Flowers, Riccardo Bonci and Jonny Davies. After lunch we began to put the sections together. At 4pm we brought all 8 choirs together and Scott Inglis-Kidger led a most thrilling final performance.
