We are directed by the dynamic Scott Inglis-Kidger, a Music graduate from Cambridge University and previously a countertenor in the renowned King’s College Choir. Scott selects a fabulous range of Music for us to work on and we are incredibly lucky to be supported by a professional orchestra and top professional soloists. All of this, combined with the commitment and enthusiasm of our members, makes for performances which are thrilling for the audience and exhilerating for the singers. We still retain a sense of joy of singing and of friendship and celebrate all our concerts with parties at our local Battersea pub. We do not hold auditions so if you would like to come and join us you are very welcome at any time to try a rehearsal or two and then decide if you would like to join. Members of the Southwest Children’s Chorus range in age from 7 to 14. The Chorus is a Musical performance and education program for children and youth, emphasizing the development of Musical skills and understanding. The mission of the organization is to provide quality Music instruction with the goal of attaining the highest level of artistic excellence in choral Music performance. Through its Music activities, the Choir helps to foster the personal and social growth of its members and promotes their sense of self-esteem, accomplishment and pride. The Tour Choir has performed across the world in over 35 states in addition to Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland. In addition, the Choir has performed in every major venue in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and across the state of Texas.  less
