Undertakes to be a space for youth have contact with concert choral Music. The group sings a diverse and technically challenging repertoire, exploring different sounds and new Musical languages. In his repertoire are works by composers as Janequin, Scarlatti, Bach, Beethoven, Whitacre, Widmer, Stroope, Jobim and Ronaldo Miranda. The styles range from classical to popular, jazz, spirituals, sacred Music, Brazilian Popular Music, opera and Musicals. Since its formation is conducted by Altamiro Bernardes and has Lana Bernardes as assistant conductor. The Choir members receive training in vocal technique, Music reading, perception, Music history, harmony and Musical aesthetics, always in the context of choral activity and a language for young people. El Coro Polifónico de la Universidad de La Laguna intervino el pasado jueves, 1 de abril, en el concierto de clausura, en el puesto 16 de un total de 23 coros con la obra Selig sind die Toten, del organista y compositor alemán Heinrich Schütz (1585-1672). La actuación se desarrolló desde la base de las vidrieras de San Fernando situadas en las escalinatas principales del Edificio Central de la institución académica.  less

To begin with I wasn't sure, since they seemed somewhat re...  moreOn Christmas Eve morning 2017, I was approached by a member of our congregation who said he had been inspired by the Holy Ghost to write some words and that he would like me to set them to Music. To begin with I wasn't sure, since they seemed somewhat repetitive, but as the day progressed to the early afternoon I found that I was also inspired (I even missed lunch!). The piece varies in mode from D Dorian to A Aeolian. The performance is by me (multi-tracking).
