A Boy and a Girl
Stretched out on The grass
a boy and a girl.
Savoring Their oranges, giving Their kisses
likes waves exchanging foam.
Stretched out on The beach
a boy and a girl.
Savoring Their limes, giving Their kisses
like clouds exchanging foam.
Stretched out underground
a boy and girl.
Saying nothing, never kissing
giving silence for silence.

The Rías Baixas Choir was presented in Vigo in January 2014 with The purpose of replacing The lack of Choral formations that could collaborate with orchestras and chamber groups in Galicia (NW Spain). His initial claim was also to promote new soloists and serve as a tool for new and established composers specially from The Rias Baixas area.
The Choir already has more than sixty performances, both self-managed and scheduled in various cycles or festivals such as Outono Lírico, Vigo Sinfónico, Barcia de Mera Religious Music Series, Nas Ondas, Portico Sonoro, Explurart, Cooltural Cambados and II Festival Groba.
In These performances They have interpreted several fundamental works of The Choral repertoire in all kind of stages of The four Galician provinces, both a capella and with instrumental accompaniment. Samples of These are Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini (version for two pianos), The Requiem in C minor by L. Cherubini, Music for The funeral of Queen Mary by H. Purcell, Mass in D major by A. Today, this spring
Is time for walking on The soft earth
In sounds that sweeten The air
and reach beyond The long dark sleep;
For sun to warm The cheek,
and quicken breath;
A time to shed The griefs
That brown The spirit of beginning;
To trust The restless energy
Demanding space and speak of life,
My own, which recreates itself in you. less
