Joshua's music is beloved by audiences across MN and the upper-Midwest. His music fuses many styles and techniques; Ancient chant, Medieval organum, Russian orthodox liturgy, and the shimmering harmonies of modern choral music, to name a few. Audience members often comment that Josh's music is their favorite part of a From Age to Age concert, or they will ask Josh why we didn't perform another known favorite of theirs that Josh has written. Nice's music is well suited for advanced high-school, collegiate, community and professional choirs. Joshua is accepting commissions for the upcoming 2012-2013 season. If you're interested in commissioning Joshua to write a piece for your group, and/or if you would like to purchase his music, email: joshua_g_nice@hotmail.com or find him on facebook at:

I would like to acknowledge the a cappella choir that I sing in, The Stairwell Carollers, and our director Pierre Massie, for their musical inspiration these past 26 years.
I would also like to thank my friends in our "Ad hoc Chorale" for testing out this piece in one of our informal workshops and offering valuable comments.
And with deepest appreciation to my brother Adam Rain and my friend Geneviève Lajoie for their invaluable support throughout my composing journey. less
